About Pharmacy Regulatory Advisors, LLC
Pharmacy Regulatory Advisors was formed in 2015 by Fred S. Brinkley, Jr., R.Ph., M.B.A and Gary G. Cacciatore, Pharm.D., J.D. to provide resources and educational seminars on Texas pharmacy and drug law for pharmacists, pharmacy students, attorneys and other interested parties.
Mr. Brinkley practices as a pharmacy regulatory consultant and currently coordinates and teaches the pharmacy law course at the University of Texas College of Pharmacy in Austin. Mr. Brinkley previously served as the Executive Director of The Texas State Board of Pharmacy for over 20 years.
Dr. Cacciatore is Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Associate Chief Regulatory Counsel for Cardinal Health, Inc. and also coordinates and teaches the pharmacy law course at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy.
Mr. Brinkley and Dr. Cacciatore have each been teaching pharmacy law in Texas for 25 years and have co-authored Texas and Federal Pharmacy and Drug Law for the past 20 years.
The 11th edition (2018) of Texas and Federal Pharmacy and Drug Law is a comprehensive textbook covering the laws, rules and regulations that affect the practice of pharmacy in Texas. Chapters A and B in the book also discuss some of the federal laws that impact the practice of pharmacy, but the primary focus of the book is on the very detailed Texas pharmacy and drug laws and rules. This book can be used both in the classroom and by pharmacists and attorneys who have questions concerning the practice of pharmacy in Texas. Texas and Federal Pharmacy and Drug Law is either the required or recommended textbook for the pharmacy law course at every college of Pharmacy in Texas.
Pharmacy Regulatory Advisors also publishes, The Ultimate Texas MPJE Review Guide. The Review Guide was first published in 2016 and and is updated annually with a new edition usually available in mid-March. The review guide is the perfect compliment to Texas and Federal Pharmacy and Drug Law for students or pharmacists who plan to take the Texas Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence (MPJE). It provides a more concise summary of the laws, rules and regulations and includes over 50 study tips on important topics. The Review Guide also includes 75 sample questions and answers..
